Resumo: This note reports the first occurrence of Monticellius indicum Mehra, 1939, in the heart of the Hawksbill turtle, Eretmochelys imbricata Linnaeus, 1766, in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. This parasite has only previously been reported, to our knowledge, in Chelonia mydas from India, Brazil, and Costa Rica.
